Dragons’ Den will be opening its doors to eager entrepreneurs again later this year and are currently searching for people brave enough to enter the Den seeking investment for their business idea or invention.

Dragons’ Den will be opening its doors to eager entrepreneurs again later this year and are currently searching for people brave enough to enter the Den seeking investment for their business idea or invention.

The Den is a challenging place to pitch, but is also a genuine business opportunity to secure investment. Last series saw 15 people receive offers of investment from the multi-millionaire panel, including Sharon Wright who won over the Dragons with the simplicity of her cable wiring device.  Other inventions receiving backing over the seven series included; Steri-Spray – a range of patented showers that prevent legionnaires disease by using ultraviolet light at a low voltage to keep the shower head free from water borne bacteria; the Secret Energy Turbine, a non-polluting, discreet wind turbine designed to blend in with the surrounding environment, and the Standby Saver which cuts off 100% of the standby power to any appliance plugged into it.

The rules are simple – entrepreneurs ask for a cash investment in return for equity in their business or invention. The Dragons will listen to pitches for any kind of business or product, but must be convinced that it will make money.  Products that have a unique selling point, and can be mass-marketed will be the most successful – so what are you waiting for?
