CHEMUK unveils conference programme highlights

Representatives from leading institutions, leading business and Whitehall are included in the speaker lineup for this month’s CHEMUK show, focussing on the impact of regulatory change, cyber security, health and safety and decarbonisation on the chemicals industry.

Opening the two day conference at Birmingham NEC on 20 May, will be key industry bodies the Chemical Industries Association and Chemical Business Association with CBA chief executive Tim Doggett presenting a ‘State of the Nation’ keynote.

Further contributions on day one will include representatives of the Health & Safety Executive, Defra, together with chemicals giant BASF and a range of chemical sector associations.

To complement the keynote agenda the event will include multi-session stakeholder programmes, including more than 30 curated panel sessions,

These will be held in collaboration with organisations including the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), IChemE, IMechE, Innovate UK Business Connect (IUKBC), the Henry Royce Institute and key industry associations including the Chemical Business Association (CBA) and British Coatings Chemicals Association (BCA).

“CHEMUK 2026 is set to deliver one of our most comprehensive and relevant conference programmes to date. By bringing together leading global suppliers, industry bodies and technical specialists, we are creating a platform that reflects the full breadth of the chemicals sector,” said conference director at CHEMUK Ian Stone.

Among the five conference zones, a key inclusion is the Chemical Laboratory Zone, now in its third year and one of the most recent additions.

The zone is focussed on specialist laboratory chemicals and equipment suppliers, R&D, analysis, process design and development, together with process design and development, scale-up and quality testing.
