Sartorius and EMBL announce new partnership

Sartorius has joined the European Molecular Biology Laboratory’s Corporate Partnership Program.

The program aims to foster advancing training collaboration and activities that are designed to connect industry to academia.
Vice President of Marketing of Lab Products and Services Division at Sartorius, Karen Storm, said: “By focusing on professional training at all levels, and ensuring that the next generation of young talent has access to the latest knowledge, we aim to support the scientific community to reach its maximum potential.”
The European Molecular Biology Laboratory’s (EMBL) Program includes a variety of initiatives such as sponsoring conferences, creating training courses and organises workshops for professionals and young scientists. Sartorius will be providing long-term support to EMBL’s school education programme by funding travel bursaries for teachers to attend EMBL courses.
EMBL has many research sites around the world, in countries such as the UK, Germany, Italy and France. It will aim to expand its footprint beyond just academia into industry through partnerships such as those with Sartorius.
