The Royal Institution is offering a golden opportunity for five individuals to win a pair of tickets to this year’s Christmas Lectures – ‘How to survive in space’.
The Christmas Lectures – to be delivered by the space medicine expert Dr Kevin Fong – will take place on the 18, 19 and 22 December and guests must be aged over 11 on day of attendance.
This competition is run in support of the charitable education work that the RI undertakes – aiming to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to get more involved into science – and is open to all UK residents over the age of 16.
Funds raised from this competition will help fund the Ri’s growing repertoire of engagement events, such as Mathematics, Engineering and Computer Science Masterclasses, public talks, the L’Oréal Young Scientist Centre and of course, the Christmas Lectures.
The prizes involve a pair of laser cut, personalised golden tickets to one of this year’s Christmas Lectures. The winners will also get to go behind the scenes and have the chance to meet some special guests. Other prizes include an invitation for the winner and a guest to attend the Ri’s live screening event of British ESA astronaut Tim Peake’s launch on Tuesday 15 December; and a limited edition official Christmas Lectures mission patch.
Enter until 23:59 on Monday 7 December. The cost is £10.
