Agar-ific
5 Jan 2012 by Evoluted New Media
It turns out great minds do think alike – we received this image after we featured the 40th birthday agar plate from former colleague Rachel Bibby. To celebrate the centenary of the Health and Safety Laboratory and the 25th year of a microbiology research team at HSL, Brian Crook wrote HLS 100 Micro 25 in in Bacillus atropheous.
And we thought what better way to start the year than with a competition: send us a message on an agar plate – the best will win a copy of The Origins of Evolutionary Innovations by Andreas Wagner. Send your images to kerry.taylorsmith@laboratorynews.co.uk, and look out for the entries on www.facebook.com/laboratorynews.
