The Quantum Universe: Everything that can happen does happen
9 Dec 2011 by Evoluted New Media
We’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Professor Brian Cox, so we were quite excited when we heard about his latest project with theoretical physicist Jeff Forshaw. When The Quantum Universe: Everything that can happen does happen landed on our desks we couldn’t contain our delight – needless to say that was straight in the bag ready to read on the commute home.
Cox and Forshaw aim to explain the real science of quantum physics – from Newton and Einstein, to where we stand at the moment – and reveal the profound theories that allow for concrete, yet astounding, predictions about the world.
Quantum Physics may not be the lightest of topics this book can be heavy going at times, but that not to say it’s not a very readable book. It reads how Cox narrated the BBC Wonders series, making it enjoyable and informative.
