Research Councils UK have announced an awards scheme for researchers looking for funds to support their public engagement activities during National Science Week in March 2006.
Research Councils UK have announced an awards scheme for researchers looking for funds to support their public engagement activities during National Science Week in March 2006.
Awards of up to £2000 are available for activities in the life, earth or social sciences. Public debates, talks, exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, laboratory visits and activities to inspire the next generation of scientists are examples of suitable activities. The closing date for applications is 21 October, and applications can be made via www.rcuk.ac.uk/scienceweek/.
