The final prize, for Best Stand Award winner at Lab Innovations, goes to a vote by attendees on the first day of the event.
Still only in their second year at the Lab Innovations show, the Lab Awards held in the Insights and Innovation Theatre have already nearly doubled the number of categories for entrants.
This year’s winners were chosen by a panel of industry experts including Gerald Law (Innovation DB), Jacqueline Balian (GAMBICA), Sharon Eaton (BioChannel Partners), Jane Banks (The Science Council) and Laboratory News columnist Dr Matthew Partridge. Headline sponsor for the event is Mettler Toledo with category sponsors including Kimtech, Red Swan Partners, Innovate UK and MiCo BioMed.
Chair of the judging panel, Laboratory News publisher Sean Marshall, said: “We were delighted by the high quality and number of entries in what is only the second year of the Lab Awards programme – the judges really had their work cut out this year.
“It was an incredibly difficult job for our judges to narrow down to a shortlist, but we feel our finalists deserve recognition for their innovation, dedication and commitment over what has been a challenging few years on the frontline.”
The awards in the Insights and Innovations Theatre at 3pm will be followed by Lab Innovations’ 10th anniversary networking drinks held at 4.15pm at the VIP Lounge, sponsored by Analytix.
