This image of a bundle of mouse nerves that relay information from touch receptors on the skin to the spinal cord and ultimately the brain was obtained through a novel technique developed by Paul Heppenstall’s lab at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL).
The work, published online in Nature Methods, enables researchers to easily use artificial tags, broadening the range of what they can study and increasing image resolution.
