European robotics company Aldebaran Robotics SA has raised $13 million in venture funding, which will enable them to develop its range of humanoid robot that contribute to the well-being of humans.
European robotics company Aldebaran Robotics SA has raised $13 million in venture funding, which will enable them to develop its range of humanoid robot that contribute to the well-being of humans.
The series C round of funding was led by Intel Capital – Intel’s global investment organisation – with contributions from current investors, CDC Innovation, iSource and Crédit Agricole Private Equity. The funding will help Aldebaran streamline its production operations and increase its research and development capabilities.
The company manufactures and sells advanced programmable humanoid robots which aim to help address personal services and healthcare, and to provide assistance to autistic children. It combines a range of facial voice recognition technologies with location awareness capabilities to provide a flexible platform for application development.

“Our products have the flexibility to provide solution across a range of applications abd this investment will play a huge role in helping drive manufacturing efficiencies and further our research capabilities.”
