The national centre for accelerating the advancement and adoption of precision medicine will provide up to £30,000 to a maximum of ten projects by Scottish beneficiaries.
Entrants will need to submit applications by 23 September, demonstrating how their work will advance precision medicine and collaborations with the NHS, academia and industry.
They must also present a strong case for commercial potential with support from a business development specialist, illustrating how they can “transform innovative research into tangible commercial outcomes that benefit patients”, said the organisation
Applications are invited from Scottish research funding universities or colleges with industry partners offering matching funding.
PMS-IC chief executive Marian McNeil said: “We have designed this fund to help discover new innovation in precision medicine which can want to provide the impetus to accelerate the adoption of precision medicine in healthcare. Our aim is to support researchers who are already engaged in work that can change and save people’s lives.
The successful applicants will be announced on 26th October. The PMS-IC business development team will be available to discuss ideas with potential applicants.
