Top brands and rising stars lead Lab Awards 2023 shortlist

Many of the best known brands and names in the laboratory sector, together with rising stars, are on the shortlist for the 2023 Lab Awards.
A total of 14 categories are up for grabs, with strong emphasis on sustainability, innovation, smart technology, training and talent.
View who is in the running in 13 of the categories here. One award, Outstanding Achievement, does not announce a shortlist, with the winner being announced on the night of the ceremony.
Jointly organised by Lab Innovations and Laboratory News, The Lab Awards 2023 will take place on 1 November at The Vox in Birmingham featuring presenter and broadcaster Maggie Philbin, together with Kiss FM DJ Justin Wilkes.
The judging panel for the awards is chaired by Laboratory News publisher, Synthesis Media chief Sean Marshall and features experts drawn from the sector. These include Gambica’s Laboratory Technology Sector Director Jacqueline Balian, Aston University Head of Technical Services Jiteen Ahmed, Innovation DB Chief Executive Gerald Law and Errant Science founder and Laboratory News columnist Dr Matthew Partridge.
